I know I said previously that I would be back to posting this weekend but I just couldn't resist. I really missed blogging.
The Hubs and I have a eventful end of August.. the house closing on the 24th, my birthday on the 27th and our 1st wedding anniversary on the 30th! I'm really excited for all these milestones.
I plan on packing a picnic lunch to enjoy, after the closing, in our new house. Of course, there's no furniture or anything of the sort.. it will be just us and our picnic basket in our new HOME. We will celebrate this new adventure in our life over a tasty meal and champagne, dream together about our future in the house and count our blessings.
I plan to have a girls' night out with friends in Maryland on the 26th. We ALWAYS have a ball when we get together, I can't wait!! Birthday cupcakes and champagne... I just want dessert and liquor!
And maybe a gift or two or ten.
Not sure what I'm doing with my family
on my birthday but I'm sure I'll be all smiles.
*Fun Fact * I always cry when the "Happy Birthday" song is sung to me. So all photos taken during said song feature the dreaded ugly cry. Ugh, why do I do that?? I even tear up when it's sung to someone else. How crazy is that??
But I sure do know that I want, so I share my gift wish list.
I really love this Haviland boot from Steve Madden. It's "inspired" by the
Stuart Weitzman 50/50 Over The Knee boot.
The
Kindle DX Graphite is high on the wish list. Who doesn't want one of these?? Although there's nothing better than the tactile experience of book reading, this baby is handy and convenient when you don't want to lug around the newest September issues of your favorite glossies.
I really love Olivia Palermo's style. I don't think I've seen her in anything I wouldn't add to my closet. That said, I would really love to have this vintage-y, paisley, sheer-y, billowy sleeved beauty she has on. It is my "wish list" right, so I'm wishing this into my possession. Don't know where she got this beautiful dress but yup, I want.
And last but not least, something I may gift myself:
The
Chloe Elsie Bag in Python just takes my breath away.. I love the color, the shape, the texture and the top handle. This bag would be a perfect addition to
my Fall 2010 collection.
