I Heart Ruthie

Ruthie Davis, that is. Feast your eyes on this fabulous shoe goodness!

Davis by Ruthie Davis

I can't decide which style I like best. You can never go wrong with a black shoe but those pink and purple ones are just the punctuation needed for a black or gray ensemble.

The wise words of a fellow shoe obsessed friend beckons, "When in doubt, buy both!"

Maybe A Baby?

Hi Darlings! Shame, shame on me for not writing for the past few weeks. My excuse is good though, I'm a newly wed, enjoying my newlywed-ness!

Sooooo you're probably wondering about that dubious title, huh? Well, we are not procreating at this point, just having fun with the recreational side of thangs. But we are considering a fur baby or two. My husband and I have always loved and had dogs and we're thinking we want to add one to our family. So I'm thinking of surprising him with one of these:

Isn't he just DARLING?? I'm currently looking at loving breeders to give one or two of these little balls of love, a home.

Fall Finds

The weather is already getting nippy, which means it's time to pull out your fall/winter collections from the closet. I had been adding to my wardrobe all summer with a few pieces here and there and wanted to share my favs from the lot... which I'm sure will be in heavy rotation.

Cocoon Coat - I LOVE this coat.. it's so chic. I love the collar, the bracelet sleeves and the length, the color and the shape.. I guess that's about everything.. lol. I can't wait to rock it!

The Scarf Coat - I love the unusualness of this coat. More than likely I would bunch up the scarf "collar" a bit so it looks so much more edgy.

Tuxedo Jumpsuit - I'm usually not a fan of the jumpsuit but this one beckons. It's kinda hot.

Structured Shoulders - This is for my "Sasha Fierce" moments.

Love At First Sight - Again

The first time we saw each other on our wedding day... Here is a snippet video taken by my sister.. her camera is so nifty.

Just Starting To Get Feeling In My Toes

Remember the Pucci shoes I've swooned over and finally purchased, then decided it would be the inspiration for our wedding decor?? Well, as fab as those shoes were, they were a excruciating to wear for the better part of a long wedding day. Wearing 4" peeptoes is a feat all it's own but couple that with adding a good 15 to 20lbs of wedding gown and traipsing all over NY and you have a recipe for numb toes. Yup, my toes are STILL numb, somewhat and it's been..what.. a week and two days. I wonder what WebMD has to say about that.

Anywhoo.. here's a fun pic of them in action. Kinda..

Here we are at the first stop, the carousel at Bryant Park. We were allowed to ride for free, which was so sweet and it made me giddy. I look like I'm about to fall and smiling ENTIRELY too hard.. but what can I say..I was a happy, happy bride to be.

When I look at the heel in this picture I wonder how I walked in them practically all day... without it being a platform?? I mean I could run a marathon in a platform shoe. But alas, what we women do for fabulousness.

The Moms

I thought I could hold out for one day but I just love this photo and wanted to share.. Treasure and I dancing with our mothers.

I love how spontaneous this photo is.. taken by my sister. Thanks Sis!

From what I remember Treasure's mom didn't know she would have to dance so it was a pleasant surprise and she was smiling the entire time. I just melted.. it was so sweet.

I think me and my mom was attempting to do the "Hustle". lol

Yup, I Had To Do My Own Hair

I didn't plan to have to do my own hair or makeup.. while the makeup was fabulously done by Lazarus -- 24 hours before that, I had no one to do my hair. That was thanks to my infamous procrastination. Luckily, I'm handy with a comb, pins and hairspray.

Not the greatest pic but shows the hairstyle.. a lil.

My sister was a little worried when I got up at 3:30am to start figuring out what I was going to do with my 'do.

The first style was "bridal-y", with curls all over and pinned up. BAH! I hated it.. it just wasn't ME and I didn't feel fabulous. At. ALL. So I took it all back down and stared in the mirror.. what did I want??

Finally, I said to myself, I want to look like the brides that I style for bridal magazine shoots -- fashionable, modern with a hint of softness. This is what the final product looked like.

Here I am with my beloved niece and junior bridesmaid, Deasha. Isn't she a cutie pie? I wasn't too sure they'd (the jrs and flowergirl) would go for the big flower in the hair but they did and made sure it was picture perfect all day.

I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED how my hair came out. It was a perfect compliment to my gown and my demi-veil was the must have accoutrement. I was pleased with my creation. I even had quite a few women ask me who did my hair and who designed my gown. I was quite tickled.

Please excuse the curious face.. I think I was about to smile again.. or bust or something. I was in the lobby of the London (LURVE this hotel!!!) and was about to see my groom for the first time in his groom-ly duds. I think I was sweating bullets too.

Our first posed (amatuer) photo together of the day. I felt like a new woman already.. without the utterance of a heartfelt vow. Isn't my Treasure just the bees knees!!

In this photo, the nerves started to dissipate and was quickly replaced by "let's get this show on the road!" I've never felt more full of love and happiness.

Sidebar - My bouquet was a fab surprise on the wedding day. I know my florist extraordinaire had sketched what it would look like based on my wedding design and gown and the overall "feel" of what I was going for.. but never did I expect the grandness of my bouquet. It was absolutely stunning and I was lost for words when I saw it. Tammy can work wonders with a flower. She has a definative eye for style, color and design and I'm soooooooo happy that she was a HUGE part of my day. Oh and not only did she design my bouquet, but the reception flowers and ALL decor, but she even made all the desserts that were featured in the "Dessert Library". Wait until you see that.. coming up shortly.

All photos by my sister. Thanks Sis!

Mrs. Treasure

Hi Ladies! I'm finally back... fabulously married. I still can't believe it. Me.. married. Who woulda ever thunk it??

Our wedding day was perfect.. not without its bumps during the day but perfect nonetheless.

There's so much to cover, I don't even know where to start. So while I collect my thoughts, how about a couple of photos?

This photo was taken after I had gotten my makeup done by Lazarus. He has such a great personality and mad makeup skills! I hadn't slept in like 30 hours before the wedding and he made me look bright eyed and bushy tailed for my wedding day.

Here is my beautiful gown, I just love it so!! It is the Barcelona style from Blue by Enzoani. When my wedding coordinator, Beverly, placed my gown on the dress form, the butterflies of excitement kicked in.. while I was in the hotel room alone, it was all I could do to try and stop gazing at my gown. She was breathtaking.

More on the superhero, Beverly and more photos upcoming!!
