Model Tendencies

I strongly believe that the exhaustive search for a photographer is over. Remember my former photography bff, Michael Cook... the fab-o photographer from Aussie, that I couldn't afford? He is such a doll, today he sent me an email with 5 recommendations of photographers that he thought was fitting to my wishlist.

Just in case you wanted to know, my request was as follows, "I'm looking for a photographer(s) with a photojournalistic style, infused with fine art and high fashion magazine editorial tendencies."

Guess what luminaries were on that list?!?! Sallee Photography!! I guess great minds think alike because I had already gushed about that super husband and wife team.

A little eye candy just in case you forgot:

Don't you just love them to pieces? They are based out of Texas but travel the world. I'm hoping to meet them this weekend as they will be in NY giving a seminar for photographers.

Our choice is confirmed...I'll have my checkbook ready. Woo hoo!!!

I've Decided...

This weekend I was chatting with my sister and MOH, about my bridal shower/bach party. She asked me to give her some ideas because she wanted it to be really fab and special. I thought about it for a few moments and then stated that I didn't want one. Crazy right? I told her if she really wanted to do something for me, then buy me my wedding shoes. She was ecstatic! I have to admit that I was too because:
1. I wouldn't have to buy my beloved Loubous.
2. I didn't want to put any unnecessary burden or stress on her trying to figure out what I would like to do, eat, etc.
I feel good about my decision. Less hoopla all the way around..just the way I like it.

Next up was my decision to not have the wedding ceremony at 620 Loft and Garden. While it's really a breathtaking place... we've decided that we want our ceremony in a church. I felt a sense of calm once we made that choice. The church that we're considering and hope can accommodate us is, Grace Church, on Broadway. I love everything about it. Also, a historical tidbit - Calvert Vaux, co-designer of Central Park, landscaped the garden.

The thought of walking down this aisle, to wed the man of my dreams, makes my heart smile and dance a jig! I can't wait to marry my Treasure.

Another factor in the decision, while not terribly very important, was the logistics of changing the ceremony to the cocktail and lounge area. I didn't want my guest to see all of that. To me, it seems uncomfortable.

A Little Bit O' Fabulous!

I came across this Etsy seller in a magazine, so glad I did because I LOVE HER!!! We all know that Etsy is the place to be for fun and unique items for your wedding.

The store is Brooklit by the fabulously chic, Brooke Hagel. She's an Artist and Designer living in Manhattan. She designs custom wedding gown illustrations, that are beyond precious. It's a darling keepsake for the bridal fashionista, like moi. I'm thinking maybe one for me and one for Treasure...since he'll be looking his dapper best that day too.

Maybe I'll commission her to do an illustration from my Boudoir shoot and make a sexy mini flipbook for Treasure.

Meet Dave

Whether you liked "Dave" or not.. (I'm referring to Eddie Murphy's new movie),you can't deny the super smart styling of the white suit he wears throughout the movie.

I wish I could find better photos but I haven't. But when I saw the trailer, I loved it immediately, the suit, that is.. will reserve judgment for the movie once I see it. So now I'm on a quest to find the designer or something similar, with great lines, tailored to the nines, for my Treasure. I showed him the suit this morning and he really liked it. I think he's gonna look extra debonair in this new find.

Here's the trailer so you can see the gorgeous suit I've fallen head over heels for.

No Mas!

Do you ever just get overwhelmed with all things wedding? I have and am, right now. I just needed a break. So no wedding related post today.

I decided to go shopping and treat myself to a few goodies.

First up this gorgeous, glam buffet, ala Jennifer Lopez

Actually I put it on a payment plan via GlamFurniture I know it's not for "me" per se, but for the house, so not only I get to enjoy it but my Treasure and all my visitors.

And I bought this lovely bag, that I absolutely LOVE!!

It's the Louis Vuitton Trevi Gm. Did I tell you how much I love this bag!?!?! It's really big, which I love. I carried it today for the first time and felt like a Spartan with my trusty shield. But I soon got over that and commenced to breaking it in. It'll be great for carrying my client files and laptop or just my wallet, sunglasses, glosses and keys. Yup, I would carry this huge bag with just those items. LOL!!

Then my last purchase, before my "mad money" account said "No Mas!" These beauties-

They are from Fendi's Fall Collection. Aren't they perfect?! I love the color and that they are suede. I love suede shoes, they look so luxe. I can't wait to wear them! I know that they'll look gorgeous both dressed up with tights and a cute wool dress or some skinny jeans.

Here's the one of the wool dresses I have in mind..

I feel great about my purchases..no buyer's remorse.. yet.
