My gold Christmas tree is up and I simply love it. It's so sparkly and glam... it's perfect. I wish I could capture it's beauty.. excuse the crappy phone pics.

The tree without decorations. It was charming all on it's own, so I left it like that for a week or so. |

I added lots of texture.. |

Lots of silver and gold.. |

More sparkle.. |

Some whimsy... |

Finished product, complete with my 19 year old angel. I purchased this angel for my daughter's first Christmas. |

I bought the tree from Walmart, it's called the
Layered Platinum Frasier Fir 7.5ft. The tree came nicely packaged and I was able to put it together quickly. Almost instant gratification!
I loved that it didn't look cheesy as I really couldn't tell via the photo on the website but I trusted my gut that it would be nice.It surpassed my expectations.. it looks expensive and worth way more than what I paid.
Another nice feature was that it came cream colored light wire, which blended nicely into the tree. No green cords for me to try and hide. I had thought about adding more lights but honestly, it really would have been too much.
The only other decorating I have done is hanging the stockings on the mantle of the fireplace. I may hang a wreath on the front door or some oversized bells and call it a day.
Keeping things simple and easy this year.
Have you started decorating for the holidays?
