A Single Man

I'm so tarty for the party. I just saw "A Single Man', written and directed by the fabulous Tom Ford. The movie in a word was STUNNING! Not only was the story beautifully written and captured, the set design was mesmerizing. I think I may have to watch it another kabillion times.

While watching the movie, I had to pause it to just marvel at the sheer beauty of the interiors. Case in point:

A fabulous cornucopia of textures and ethnic elements. The super tall Moroccan lamps, the Ikat drapes, the African bone inlay mirror, the Flokati covered chair. This dressing space is inspiring.

More fabulousness!!  I want to start entertaining in full makeup, hair in a fab updo and rocking a ankle length dress. Not practical but I still wanna do it. I spy more Moroccan influences, the chest and the lighting in the hall and more bone inlay mirrors. I LOVE!!

I love the formality yet ease of the dining set up on the veranda. We have a side porch off the living room in our new house.. guess what I'll be copying?

More Ikat, this time in an fab upholstered headboard, complete with nailheads. Adore!

Ummm, yeah I'm gonna need some orange trees in my house too!! I squealed with delight when I saw this. I startled my husband out of his sleep. I don't have a conservancy for orange trees but I can do this:
