Girl Meets Grill
I came across a totally cool company that provides prefabricated outdoor kitchens. I'm SUCH a fan of the outdoor "room" and all the entertainment possibilities, so this immediately piqued my attention.
While it may be too late now, getting our backyard (for the near future house) soiree ready will be the first thing on the agenda come next Spring. And I will have these guys on speed dial. Check out this before and after.

The company Island Cabanas, creates a custom layout for your outdoor kitchen based on your specifications and what will work best for your allotted space. They then ship you the frame with all the rough openings for appliances, doors, etc. When you get it, you flex your DIY muscles and finish the kitchen with faux rock, stone, brick, stucco, then add your countertop. Viola, a custom outdoor kitchen.
I know this outdoor kitchen is all my darlin' Hubby can talk about, he wants one so badly. And all I can talk about is a pool. So together, the kitchen and pool will make beautiful memories together, just like us.

What I'm Loving Today
Looking for possible furniture selections for the new house. Well, we are still in the looking stages but we have found one that we like and probably will put an offer on this weekend.
I have been cyber shopping as usual. I LOVE looking at fab furniture finds.
First up, this couch:
I love the tonal color, the pattern and the shape. I wish I could sit in it, to see how it feels. I also love the Greek key table, both are from Home Decorators.
Next, this fab chandelier:
I adore how simplistic this glass and chrome chandy is, sometimes the more ornate chandeliers are a little overwhelming to me.
And this makes me squeal with glee!
You know I have a serious affinity for these hooded aka balloon aka canopy aka Porter chairs. I'm inching closer to owning a couple as they are on sale.

Just What The Doctor Ordered
I was trolling my vintage shopping favorites and came across something curious. I quickly dismissed it but a few minutes later, I just had to revisit it. It was an old, beat up, rusting metal medical cabinet.
Past Present Future
I thought, 'huh, that's kinda interesting'. It would probably be fantastic... cleaned up and given a home. Maybe in a bathroom or in a hall... even in a dressing room.
So I Googled Vintage Medical Cabinet and came up with all sorts of findings and they are quite pricey, ranging from $500.00 to $1700.
Although these pieces are old, they enchant me with the cabriole legs and the openness of the glass shelves. Perfect, I think for a master bath. I imagine it in a glossy white, filled with rolled towels, luxurious bath foams and candles.
Just another item to be on the hunt for at my next visit to the flea market.

Out Of Sight
I'm a crazed stickler for everything having a place and it just drives me insane to see alot of stuff on kitchen counters. It bothers me to no end. So of course I will have to impart great storage ideas to our new kitchen, whenever that happens.

Back To The Drawing Board
I'm a little bummed today, we didn't get the house. I found out the the seller's agent was "blocking" our agent and secretly saving the property for her husband who's a real estate investor. Scandalous!
This house buying experience has left a really bad taste in my mouth and I was resolved to stop looking because it's such an exhaustive process. However, we want a home, to establish our foundation, continue building our lives together and experience our first home together. So alas, I've put my fingers to the grind and trolling the 'net for other fabulous home options.
Here's two of our top prospects:
We won't be able to see them until sometime next week, due to the holiday weekend.
Also we changed real estate agents... AGAIN. I liked our last agent but she was too distracted and not prompt with following up with us. So to save us further headache we just chose another agent and she is on the tippity top of her game. Love that.
