What Do You Think?

I'm anxiously awaiting the moment I can start decorating the house. I've taken to the interwebs with a vigor to find the perfect pieces for our humble abode. Of course, I need to decorate the common areas of the first floor, starting with the living room.

I really love the "feel" of this room. Not only is the furniture pretty, the design of the room exudes the feeling I want in my living room, comfortable and sophisticated with a little luxe thrown in.  Although an ad for a furniture group, I think the merchandiser achieved said look.

Also, I can imagine my baby grand piano in there. It's sleek black finish would be a great dramatic punctuation for the neutral, serene room.

I know it's against all things interior decor to buy furniture sets but I REALLY like this one. The detail is exquisite. Look at the back of that barrel armchair.. the inverted pleat with button detail. So cute.

I like the neutral color palette and the overall design of the sofa. I'm drawn to it's skirt as I find living rooms that's too "leggy" to be distracting.

Another look at details... nailheads and Greek key, I'm so in love.

Another chair option, this tufted beauty! Look at those legs, more nailhead trim, the rolled top and did I mention the tufting. FAB!
